Ron Samuel - Executive Creative Director / Partner

A founding partner of Cooch, Ron is one of Perth’s most experienced Creative Directors and respected creative strategists. He is one of the few creative directors currently in Perth to have held the same position internationally, having worked in Singapore and South East Asia for four years at multi-national agencies Lintas and Euro RSCG. 

Ron has developed communication strategies, concepts and written copy for major local, national and international brands including Maggi, Volvo, Compaq Computers, Ricola (Europe’s No 1 confectionary brand), Visa and various Unilever brands. 

His strength lies in his ability to translate a brief and create highly effective commercials with a strong, single-minded message. Awarded locally, nationally and internationally, Ron has won the 94.5 Radio Writers’ Award (Australia’s richest advertising award) and has been inducted into the Campaign Brief Hall of Fame.

Apart from his creative credentials, Ron also has a thorough understanding of business. Part of his role is to ensure that there is no gap between the creative solution and the business problem it is supposed to solve. This gap is still the most common complaint of advertisers, big and small, around the world. A Graduate Diploma in Business and an MBA from the University of Western Australia support his wealth of experience. This rare combination of skills has proven to be a very valuable client resource.
